Packed in a 3kg pail, our honey is raw, unpasteurized and lightly filtered; just pure honey as the bees make it.
We extract our honey in small batches throughout the year so the taste, colour, and texture will vary according to where and when it was produced.
Our honey comes from hives that are managed according to organic standards.
Raw honey crystallizes because it’s full of natural sugars and tiny specks of pollen and wax. Those little particles act like “seeds,” and the sugars grab onto them and form crystals. It’s a sign your honey is real and unheated, not that it’s gone bad.
To make it liquid again: put the sealed jar in a cup or pot of warm water and let it gently warm up. Don’t microwave and don’t boil it. Slow, low heat keeps the flavour and enzymes happy. Once it’s clear, shake the jar a bit, and it will stay liquid for a while.
Suggestions for use:
1. Daily sweetener upgrade
Swap honey for sugar in tea, coffee, yogurt, oatmeal, smoothies, or baking. You get flavour, not just sweet.
2. Cough + sore throat
A spoonful of honey in warm water or lemon water can soothe a dry cough and scratchy throat. (Not for kids under 1 year old.)
3. Skin + lips
Raw honey can be used as a gentle spot treatment for dry skin or chapped lips. Rinse after 10–15 minutes.
4. Pre-workout / outdoor energy
One spoon straight = quick natural carbs. Good for hiking, cycling, long work days outside.
5. Cheese + boards
Drizzle honey over cheese, nuts, fresh bread, roasted veggies, or even pizza crust. People who “don’t like honey” change their mind here.
6. Gut comfort
Stir a little honey into ginger tea after a heavy meal. Warm, sweet, easy on the stomach.
Honey basically never goes bad if you treat it right:
• Keep it sealed. Air introduces moisture, and moisture can make honey ferment.
• Room temperature is best. A cupboard or pantry is perfect. No fridge — cold temps make it crystallize faster.
• Keep it dark. Light and heat can dull the flavour and aroma over time, so avoid direct sun / stove heat.
• Crystals are normal. If it goes solid or grainy, warm the jar gently in a pot of hot (not boiling) water and stir. It’s still pure and safe.
That’s it. Honey is one of the only foods on Earth that can last basically forever.
We also carry premium Unifloral honey
