Our Raw Bee Propolis (also known as bee glue) is a pure resinous treasure straight from the hive. Bees create propolis by gathering sap from trees and mixing it with beeswax and enzymes. The result is a sticky, aromatic substance which they use to seal and protect their colony.

We’ve harvested these propolis chunks from our own sustainably-kept hives, using a cold, chemical-free method to preserve all of its natural goodness.

Each jar contains hand-cut chunks of unrefined propolis, with a bit of fine powder (proof of its raw, unprocessed nature). No additives, no preservatives – 100% pure propolis, just as the bees made it.

*May contain trace amounts of hive debris such as beeswax, bee parts and/or wood chips*

What Is Propolis & Why Use It?

Propolis has been used by humans for thousands of years as a natural remedy and protector. In fact, ancient civilizations knew the value of this bee-made resin: Greeks applied propolis to abscesses, Assyrians put it on wounds to prevent infection, and Egyptians used it in mummification . This long history of use is a testament to propolis’ revered status in nature’s apothecary.

In modern natural wellness, propolis is often called a “bee superfood” or “nature’s antibiotic” for its remarkable properties. It contains over 300 natural compounds, including flavonoids (a type of antioxidant).

Propolis is valued for its protective, soothing qualities – it has been studied for anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory effects, though more research is ongoing. While we do not make any health claims, we encourage you to explore the rich history and traditional uses of propolis. Many users simply enjoy knowing they have a pure, time-honored substance in their hands that bees and humans alike have relied on for various purposes.

Ethical & Sustainable Practices

We take pride not only in the quality of our propolis, but also in how it’s produced. Our bees are like family – we practice ethical beekeeping with the bees’ health as the top priority.

We never over-harvest propolis or other hive products; the bees need these resources too.

Our queen-rearing program helps propagate strong queen bees, supporting both our apiary and the broader pollinator ecosystem.

When you buy from us, you’re supporting a small local business that genuinely cares about bees and the environment. We use organic practices (though not certified, we follow organic principles rigorously) and only natural treatments for hive wellness (no synthetic miticides or antibiotics, ever).

Even our packaging choices reflect our values: the glass jar is plastic-free and reusable, and we use minimal packaging for shipping, often with recyclable or compostable materials.

Safe Use & Allergy Information

Your safety is important to us. Propolis is not for everyone – some people can be allergic, especially if you have allergies to bee stings, honey, or pollen.

We recommend doing a patch test or trying a very small amount first, particularly if you’ve never used propolis before . If you notice any rash, irritation, or other allergic reaction, discontinue use.

Additionally, if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or on medications, it’s wise to consult a healthcare professional before using propolis internally.

This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. It’s a natural traditional remedy, and we provide it as such for your own explorations into natural wellness.
