At Humble Bee we produce high quality hive products and serve the local Beekeeping community with equipment and training. Our hives are located at dozens of urban, rooftop and rural yards across the greater Hamilton area. We put Bee health first in our practices and manage our hives organically. Duties and Responsibilities:

Humble Bee serves a broad range of customers from honey lovers to beekeepers to curious passers-by. From our storefront we supply the local community with Local Raw Honey and essential Beekeeping supplies. The Apiary Store Worker is responsible for:

• Opening and closing the shop
• Serving a wide variety of customers
• Educating customers about bees and honey
• Packing and preparing orders
• Serving honey samples
• Maintaining inventory and organization
• Maintaining shop cleanliness
• Being excited about bees and pollinators

Knowledge / Experience

• 1+ years retail sales environment
• 1+ years Shopify/Square POS
• Excellent communication skills
• Positive attitude: respect for the bees, the land, yourself and others

Schedule: 

A typical shift is 9am to 5pm Tuesday to Saturday with seasonal fluctuations common with beekeeping.

Term: 

The position commences in April and concludes in November. We may be able to offer year-round employment to the right candidate.

Compensation:

$17-18/hr Based on experience
